My Aretino and Titian’s Aretino

CMRS Lecture
A talk by Raymond Waddington, emeritus professor at UC Davis: How an English professor can become an Aretino authority. Why Titian and Aretino are inseparable. And why contexts are essential.

Aretino’s Satyr (2004) received the MLA’s Scaglione Prize for Italian Studies, and was translated into Italian (2009).
