The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies is committed to supporting interdisciplinary scholarship which illuminates the impact of people, events, and ideas during the years 600-1600 CE. Our programs enable scholars and students to present their research and refine their scholarship. Our publications present the latest studies by authors in the field. We also provide administrative support for faculty research projects and offer on-campus resources to scholars and students.
We are an Organized Research Unit of the University of California which is tasked with contributing to and strengthening interdisciplinary programs of research and teaching conducted by the faculty, as well as providing graduate and post-doctoral students with added research opportunities, facilities, and assistance.
