CMRS Conference Travel Grants
The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies offers funding in the form of travel reimbursement for UCLA graduate students to attend conferences, symposia, or professional meetings, to present research or scholarly papers on any topic in the field of Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
To apply for a grant, the student must submit a letter of request to the CMRS Director at least two weeks in advance of the travel departure date, describing the conference to be attended, the name of the paper or project that will be presented, and a budget of travel expenses for which reimbursement is requested. Send the letter of request to Professor Zrinka Stahuljak, CMRS Director, email@example.com.
The maximum funding that may be requested is $1,000 and students may submit only one CMRS travel grant request per academic year. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis but must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the travel departure date. Mileage in excess of 250 miles and food/meal expenses cannot be reimbursed.
The number of travel grants awarded each year will depend on the amount of funding available, and the number and quality of the requests received.
