Welcome back to UCLA for Fall 2018! Classes start Thursday, September 27th . . . CMRS has a stimulating schedule of programs lined up. Highlights include a conference on medieval and early modern Iberia and another on understanding the medical humanities. We also have three of the six Distinguished Visiting Scholars for 2018-19 coming to UCLA this quarter. Check the schedule for the individual DVS lectures they will present. There are two of our lunchtime roundtables on the calendar and the regulary-scheduled quarterly California Medieval History Seminar meets at the Huntington. Our Open House is Tuesday, October 3, so please join us to kick things off for the start of the school year!
