The CMRS Center for Early Global Studies is an Associate Organization of the Renaissance Society of America. This means that every year we can submit a number of sponsored panels that will automatically be accepted by the RSA.
The next RSA Conference will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 9–11, 2023. You will find the submission guidelines at https://www.rsa.org/page/ConferenceSubmissionsGuide.
We invite panel submissions for RSA 2023 under CMRS-CEGS sponsorship. We are especially interested in submissions that align with the CMRS-CEGS five research axes, about which you can read more here: https://cmrs.ucla.edu/research/axes/
If you wish a Call for Papers to be posted on the RSA website with CMRS-CEGS sponsorship, you can send it to us for evaluation. You can also send an already formed panel if you already have all the participants. Please send your Call for Papers or panel proposals to cmrs@humnet.ucla.edu copied to Javier Patino Loira jpatinoloira@ucla.edu, Associated Organization Representative.
The deadline for the conference is August 15, 2022, so in case you wish to submit a panel, please send all the required information by August 8.
You will need the following information, so please remember to ask the participants to provide it:
– session title (15-word maximum)
– organizer(s), chair
For each of the papers (3 or 4) in the panel, you need to provide:
– paper title (15-word maximum)
– paper abstract (150-word maximum)
– brief cv (.pdf or .doc upload)
– PhD or other terminal degree completion year (past or expected)
– full name, current affiliation, and email address.
