Afghan Assistance at UCLA

CMRS faculty member Domenico Ingenito (Associate Professor of Persian Literature at UCLA and Director of the Program on Central Asia) has been assisting Afghan refugees flown to Italy to clear resettlement hurdles there and is actively supporting the UCLA effort to place Afghan scholars on campus. He will devote considerable programming to Afghanistan at the Program on Central Asia in the coming year. Additionally, UCLA has initiated a program through the Department of Near Eastern Languages & Cultures to provide emergency support for Afghan scholars at risk. CMRS supports this initiative and urges you to read more about what you can do to help.
