Congratulations to CMRS faculty member Charlene Villaseñor-Black from the UCLA Department of Art History, the winner of this year’s Gold Shield Faculty Prize for recognition and reward to mid-level faculty in UCLA departments with undergraduate degree programs. We’re very excited to be working with Prof. Villaseñor-Black and Dr. Mari-Tere Álvarez of The J. Paul Getty Museum, for the upcoming CMRS Conference Renaissance Futurities: Art & Technology. This conference focuses on the humanist studies of the 14th-16th centuries which led to new understanding in biology, chemistry, engineering, and the visual arts, articulating the interdependent approach and vision of these disciplines. Mark your calendar for our day-long conference on November 18, 2016.
