Hotels

All conference attendees need to make their own room reservations. We have secured reduced rates for attendees at the hotels below. Please reserve your overnight accommodations early as there are a limited number of BSANA special rates available. Any unused rooms will be released by the first week of October.The discount rate cut-off date is September 30, 2022.

Luskin Conference CenterThe conference hotel and location for all the sessions. The conference room rate is $269 single/double occupancy per night (excluding taxes and fees). The room options are King Room or Double Queen Room. We recommend booking a double queen room to share. Use this Luskin Reservation Link to reserve your room at the conference rate.

UCLA Guest House – Located on UCLA’s north campus, a fifteen-minute walk through campus to and from the Luskin Conference Center. The room rate for a Deluxe Queen room with a single queen bed is $199 per night. The room for a Deluxe Queen Kitchenette room with a single queen bed and mini-refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and a wet bar-style sink is $209 (excluding taxes and fees). Other hotels are adjacent to UCLA in Westwood Village.

Transportation

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located about 11 miles from UCLA.  A taxi or shuttle from the airport to the hotel will cost about $50-60.  If you are planning to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft to leave the airport, you will need to look for the green “LAX-it” signs on the lower/Arrivals level in front of each terminal. Shuttles arrive approximately every 7 minutes. Complete information at the link.

Los Angeles is one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world, boasting an array of cultural and educational institutions. UCLA, one of the world’s great research universities, is located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. Sunset Boulevard of Hollywood fame forms the northern border of the university, leading to nearby Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, the Getty Center in Brentwood, and continuing to ocean’s edge at the Palisades and the start of the Malibu coastline. South of campus is walkable Westwood Village. Residential neighborhoods border UCLA on the east and west.

Of Interest in Westwood Village

Immediately south of UCLA’s campus within easy walking distance: UCLA’s Hammer Museum collections of contemporary and historical European and American paintings and drawings; Westwood Memorial Cemetery where Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Wood, and other Hollywood notables lie in eternal repose; the Art Deco-style Bruin and Fox movie theaters where new films hold their gala premieres; Geffen Playhouse for live theater; a variety of restaurants and shops. Of Interest in the Byzantine -Latino Quarter

The Byzantine-Latino Quarter is the historic center of LA’s Greek Orthodox community, centered along Pico Boulevard, ten miles east of the UCLA Westwood campus. In the mid-20th century there was a significant Greek population concentrated in this area, and with it came an influx of Greek goods and culture. Papa Cristos is legendary.
