We’re pleased to share that members of our stellar California Medieval Seminar Steering Committee have recently received a series of well-deserved recognitions.

Rowan Dorin received the Medieval Academy of America’s 2026 John Nicholas Brown Prize for his book No Return: Jews, Christian Usurers and the Spread of Mass Expulsion in Medieval Europe (Princeton University Press, 2023).

Tom Barton was elected to the 2026 Class of Fellows of the Medieval Academy of America.

In 2024, Alison Perchuk received the Medieval Academy of America’s Karen Gould Prize in Art History for her book, The Medieval Monastery of Saint Elijah: A History in Paint and Stone (Brepols, 2021).

Please join us in congratulating Rowan, Tom, and Alison on their achievements. We’re proud to celebrate their work and grateful for their leadership in the CMS community.
