Fredi Chiappelli Memorial Fellowship

The Fredi Chiappelli Memorial Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding UCLA graduate student from any academic discipline whose research focuses on any aspect of Medieval, Renaissance, or early modern Italian Studies. The fellowship is named in honor of former CMRS director Fredi Chiappelli.

The application should include:

  • Cover letter
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Maximum five-page (single spaced) research proposal describing the project
  • Three letters of recommendation from faculty or other scholars familiar with the applicant’s work; one of these letters should be from the applicant’s dissertation advisor, if advanced to PhD candidacy.
